How is the information used? NAWS data, which are summarized in biannual reports, afford important information to agricultural employers and their organizations about the characteristics of the farm labor force. Providers of housing, health, education, and employment training services utilize NAWS data to both identify farm workers' needs and to target their program resources. Federal Government agencies spend over $900,000,000 for farmworkers assistance programs. Many of these programs utilize NAWS information for planning, evaluation and/or funding decisions. Survey
